Done.

November 2, 2007

Last year on November 2nd I made a goal to start writing one page, single spaced per day without missing a day for one year. I took my laptop camping. One night I stayed up late talking with Bart, Rob, and Janssen. It got so late that I had to write while we talked. Well, now I have a page or more for every single day since then.

A lot has changed in the past year. Lily was born. We sold our home. We moved up here to Los Alamos. I’m finally starting to love research. Kate started 2nd grade and Abby started 1st. Elsie learned to talk. Timmy’s gotten older, stronger, and faster.

All that is now recorded in an incremental fashion. Wow. Anyway, the trick with this kind of journal is that it is easy to leave it in digital form. What I’m going to do is merge all the PDF’s and send them to Lulu. I think I’ll print it up as a hardback.

So, should I keep writing a page a day? I’ve come to like it. I think I’ll continue. When I hurry it only takes about 16 minutes.   And it’s a nice time to reflect.
